The seductive and transformative properties of materials – wax, graphite, paper – lend themselves to an intuitive, form-finding, impulsive process. And drawing is a persistent love which I return to when in self-doubt. The simplicity of tool and engagement appeals – and appeases – reconnecting me to the foundational joy of creative mark-making. More recently I have been merging the act of drawing with assembling and object-making. The work often remains unresolved and too slippery to hold on to, reflecting perhaps on a world and mind in constant flux.
